‘BOSERE WA BA NIBE' ( IF YOU DO GOOD, IT WILL AWAIT YOU.)
Boséré wa ba nibé ( If you do good, it will await you).
This was the usual saying of an Old father, who was like a friend.
Growing up in a local town of diverse races and cultures, everyone gains recognition and influence through their act of kindness or wickedness.
Something is very crucial; you'll be known for something.
This old man who happens to be my friend knows with the above statement ' BOSERE WA BA NIBE' ( IF YOU DO GOOD, IT WILL AWAIT YOU.) and we all fondly call him Baba Boséré.
Years went by, and as I increased in growth and knowledge, I came into a deeper understanding of what this statement really meant.
IF YOU DO GOOD, IT WILL AWAIT YOU, HOWEVER, IF YOU DO BAD, SAME WILL AWAIT YOU.
Life is the general gift from divinity, however, we owe ourselves the obligation of defining what we would be known for.
The words of this old man summarize that man has been created to impact, influence, and dominate the world, but the type of work you must engage in to create impact and build your influence is now your choice to make.
As the global village grows haywire day after day, we all have been given the opportunity to create a lasting footprint in the heart and life of people we've never seen and this is indeed a great opportunity we must all maximize.
"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven."
The significance of our lives is dependent on the quality of good works it projects.
' There's is no influence without a difference.'
To live like everybody is to be like everybody.
No one builds an excellent legacy by living a laid-back life.
' We leave behind who we lived before death'.
Today, we all show up our giftings and we parade our skillfulness.
We fill everywhere with great content and that is great, but, the challenge is that the quality of life we all project online does not equate to the quality of the life we live. 🤔
What is the essence of the excellence that we project that does not illuminate our immediate circle of influence? 🤷
We all have to wake up and face this truth that is staring at our faces.
Building a sustainable influence requires us to outgrow just showing up to living up to the quality of what we know and share.
What you know is inconsequential if your life isn't reflecting it.
It's is not what you know, it is what you do.
Good works birth a glorious life of influence.
